The Sultanate of Oman boasts many forts and castles that date back to old historical eras. Nakhal Fort, built in a strong and giant structure on a rocky hill in the 17^th century, is a historical landmark of Wilayat Nakhal, Batina South Governorate. The Fort has many towers, the most well-known of which are the Eastern, the Southern and the Middle. Two water wells are also inside the fort.
